Gathering Bird no.1

A hanging inspired by the gathering of birds. The bird is made from a grey stained glass, detailed in white that has been fired to an enamel finish. It carries a sprig of bluebells with some leaves still attached, and a bundle from a strawberry plant, complete with two strawberries in various stages of ripening, a strawberry flower and copper roots. The collection of flowers are soldered to the back of the bird's beak. A discreet copper loop is attached to the top of the brass ring for hanging.
